14 years of LL Estates: Over £2,000 raised for Credu Young Carers
This year we're celebrating 14 years of LL Estates, and we wanted this milestone to give something back to the community that has supported us from day one. That's why we have made Credu Young carers our charity of the year, donating from every completed home sale, and we're thrilled to share we've already raised over £2,000.
This year marks 14 years of LL Estates, and we wanted our anniversary to be about more than just us. That’s why we launched a fundraising campaign in support of Credu Young Carers, pledging a donation from every completed home sale throughout our anniversary year.
We’re delighted to share that since announcing the campaign, we’ve already raised over £2,000.
Why Young Carers?
Young carers provide regular support to family members affected by illness, disability, mental health challenges or addiction. Their contribution often goes unseen, and many face pressures and responsibilities well beyond their years, on top of school and home life.
Our aim is to fund a series of days out and special experiences for young carers supported by the charity, giving them the chance to take a break from their caring responsibilities and enjoy experiences many of their peers take for granted.
Louise Young, co-founder of LL Estates, said:
“Reaching 14 years in business is something we’re incredibly proud of, but anniversaries are also a chance to focus on the communities that have supported us along the way.
“Young carers take on remarkable responsibilities, often at an age when they should simply be enjoying their childhood. Through this campaign, we hope to help create some special memories and give them opportunities to relax, have fun and spend time with others who understand their experiences.”
What Credu Says
Lorna Fenwick, Denbighshire Lead for Credu Young Carers, said:
“We are thrilled and so grateful to LL Estates who have made us their Charity of the Year. The support from LL Estates will be massive in terms of supporting our Young Carers in Rhuddlan, Rhyl and the surrounding areas.
“The support has already provided our Rhyl Young Carers with an Easter egg each, back in April this year. We also recently had a Community Family Fun Day in June, as part of Carers Week, and LL Estates amazingly sorted and covered the cost of picnic bags for the children that attend.
“Without the support of LL Estates, we ordinarily wouldn’t have been able to give our Young Carers an Easter egg this year. We rely massively on fundraisers and donations to allow us to give our Young Carers these extra everyday treats and other opportunities which allow them a much needed break from their caring roles.”
How You Can Be Part of It
The campaign runs across our anniversary year, with every completed property sale contributing directly towards the fundraising total.
Louise added: “We’re fortunate to work with wonderful clients every day. By choosing LL Estates, they’ll not only be moving home, but they’ll also be helping us support a cause that makes a real difference to local young people.”
